Why reboot your iQ?
The iQ is a smart device that constantly transfers data (video, app info, updates).
A reboot:
Refreshes the operating system.
Clears temporary data and cache.
Helps resolve software “niggles” e.g. connection issues.
Rebooting is a safe, non‑destructive way to improve performance without deleting your settings or recordings.
How to reboot your iQ
Locate the button:
On the top of the iQ (the part facing into the cabin) you will see a small physical button.
Use the tip of a pen, pin, or similar object to press it.
Perform a short press:
Press the button briefly (do not hold it for a long time).
The iQ will restart automatically; you’ll usually see the screen turn off and then back on.
If you need to remove the iQ from its mount:
Slide the iQ upwards to release it from the mount.
Pull the unit from the top section toward you; it will detach from the plate on the windscreen.
You can easily slide it back onto the plate once you’ve finished the reboot.
If issues persist after a reboot, try restarting your phone and the iQ app or check for a firmware update in the app.
