Can I share my iQ benefits with my friends or family?
If you have a Protect Plus subscription, you can share your iQ with up to four other people at no extra cost. This article shows you how to set up shared access in the iQ app and what each shared user can or cannot do.
How to share your iQ
On the owner account’s phone:
Open the iQ app.
Tap iQ Settings, then select Shared Access.
Tap Add a shared user.
Tell the person you want to share with to open their iQ app and scan the QR code shown on your screen.
On the shared‑access user’s phone:
Make sure the iQ app is installed, then tap Get Started → Link with another user’s iQ.
When prompted, allow the app to use the phone’s camera.
Point the camera at the QR code on the owner’s phone.
Once the scan is successful, the shared user will see the main iQ menu and have access to your camera.
What can shared users do?
Shared users can use almost all features and functions included in your subscription, such as:
Live View
Watching events and downloads
Viewing and sharing footage
They cannot do the following in the app:
View or change Payments or Subscriptions
Manage Shared Access (add or remove others)
Delete videos from the Library or Events
Adjust Guardian Mode settings
How to stop someone’s access
You can remove a shared user at any time:
Open the iQ app on your phone.
Go to iQ Settings → Shared Access.
Tap the user you want to remove and confirm Remove.
Once removed, that person will no longer be able to access your iQ.
