Can I share videos recorded by my iQ?
Yes, you can share footage from your iQ dash cam. First, download the video from your iQ to your smartphone using the iQ app. Once downloaded, use the app's share options or your phone's sharing features.
All your iQ recordings appear in the Library tab of the iQ app.
How do I share library video recordings?
Follow these steps to download and share library footage:
Open the iQ app and go to the Library tab.
Tap the three dots next to the video thumbnail you want to share.
Select Download from SD card.
Choose which camera views (front, rear, interior) to download, then tap Download.
Wait for your iQ to wake up and connect. Progress shows in the Downloads tab.
Once complete, a tick appears on the smartphone icon next to the file.
Tap the three dots again to share, save, or delete the video.
Note: Download speed depends on your iQ's 4G signal and your phone's internet connection.
How do I share event video recordings?
Follow these steps to share event footage:
Open the iQ app and go to the Events tab.
Tap the three dots next to the video thumbnail you want to share.
Select Download from cloud
Choose which camera views (front, rear, interior) to download, then tap Download.
This will show in the in the Downloads tab. Once complete, a tick appears on the smartphone icon next to the file.
Tap the three dots again to share, save, or delete the video.
Note: Videos downloaded from the Events tab will be a Low Quality version of the file, to view a High Quality file, please follow the steps above for 'How do I share Library video recordings?'
Extra tips
Use Wi-Fi on your phone/iQ when possible to speed up downloads.
Share via messaging apps, email, or social media directly from the iQ app after downloading.
Downloaded files can be saved to your phone's gallery or files app for easy access outside the iQ app.
Troubleshooting
If downloads do not start, check that your iQ has a strong 4G signal and is powered on. Wait a few minutes for the wake-up process.
If the app shows "waking iQ" for too long, restart the app, ensure your phone is connected to the iQ via the app, and try again.
If you see download errors, move to an area with better 4G coverage or connect your phone to Wi-Fi.
If sharing options do not appear after download, force close and reopen the iQ app, then check the Downloads tab.
If files do not save to your phone's gallery, check your phone's storage space and app permissions for photos/videos.
