Process / information
Before you start
Make sure your Dash Cam is powered on using the supplied power cable.
Insert a compatible SD card into the Dash Cam.
Install the Nextbase App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Ensure the Dash Cam is showing as connected on the home page.
Access Setup View
In the Nextbase App, once the Dash Cam is connected, select Setup View.
The Dash Cam will connect over a Wi-Fi connection.
Once connected, a clear view of the front Dash Cam will appear.
Select the Home button at the bottom of the page to come out of Setup View.
If Setup View is not appearing or is failing
Check that your Dash Cam is connected to the app.
Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled on your phone.
If Wi-Fi is not connecting or is slow
Disconnect from other Wi-Fi networks, including your home network.
Turn off any VPN on your phone.
Turn off automatic Wi-Fi reconnection.
Disconnect from Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.
Check that all app permissions are enabled: Settings > Apps > Nextbase App > Permissions.
Close the app, wait a minute, and reopen it.
Forget the Dash Cam in your phone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings, then reconnect.
Turn Airplane Mode on, then manually turn Wi-Fi and Bluetooth back on.
Temporarily turn off mobile data or smart network switching.
Make sure the SD card is correctly inserted and formatted.
Check for any available firmware updates for your Dash Cam.
What to expect
Once connected, Setup View will show a clear view from the front Dash Cam.
