Model-Specific Details

  • Nextbase 622GW:

    • The blue LED stays on while charging and turns off when charging is complete.

    • The lightning bolt icon confirms that the dashcam is receiving external power.

  • Nextbase 422GW:

    • The blue LED indicates charging and turns off once the internal battery is adequately charged. If the blue LED turns off after a few minutes but the dashcam continues operating from vehicle power, this is normal behavior.

Blue

Charging: Solid

Fully charged: Off The blue LED turns off automatically when the battery is fully charged, even if the dashcam remains connected to power.

Not charging: Off

Lightning Bolt Icon

The lightning bolt icon appears on the battery indicator on the dashcam screen. This icon signifies that external power is being supplied to the dashcam, regardless of the battery's charge state. If the icon is not visible, check the power connections.

Red

Switched off: Off

Switched on (not recording): Solid

Recording: Flashing

Troubleshooting Tips

  1. Blue LED Not Turning On: Ensure the dashcam is properly connected to a power source. Check the cable and mount connections.

  2. Lightning Bolt Icon Missing: Verify that the power cable is securely connected to both the dashcam and the vehicle's power outlet.

  3. Red LED Off: Confirm that the power source is active and supplying power to the dashcam.
