You've just opened the box for your Nextbase iQ and are ready to turn your vehicle into a mobile smart device - Welcome to the future of dash cams.
Please follow the guide below as well as the on-screen instructions:
Make sure you have the iQ app downloaded before starting. If you do not have the app, you can download it from the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Select "Get Started".
- Select "Setup your iQ" to go through the first-time setup. By continuing, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions and privacy policy.
- Once you have created your account, you are ready to begin your iQ Experience by tapping "Continue".
- The power for your iQ will be supplied by the OBD in your car, alternatively, the IQ can be wired to your vehicle's fuse box. Tap "Continue" to use the OBD or select "Use Fuse Box Power Instead". If you are going to use fuse box power please skip to Step 8.
- Plug the supplied cable into the vehicle's OBD connection as per the on-screen instructions. Tap "Continue" once this step is complete.

Plug the other end of the cable into the iQ as shown on screen. Tap "Continue" once this step is complete.
- You will be prompted to connect the power cable to your fuse box. If you want to use the OBD connection, tap 'Use OBD port instead'.
- Next, connect the end of the power cable to your IQ and start your engine. Leave it running while you complete the rest of the set-up process. Tap "Continue" once this step is complete.

Next, let's get the Rear Camera connected by plugging the Rear Camera cable into the top of the iQ as per the on-screen instructions. Tap "Continue" once this step is complete.
- Now take your phone and scan the QR code displayed on your iQ. Tap "Continue" once this is step complete.
- Once connected your iQ will automatically download any updates.
- Once the download is complete, the iQ will display the following message. Your iQ is now fully updated.

It's now time to mount the camera in your vehicle. Peel off the cover of the adhesive but do not mount your camera just yet. Tap "Continue" once this step is complete.

Now adhere your iQ to the windscreen, checking and adjusting the positioning of the camera using the videos now visible in the app.
- Do you have a rear camera? If so then the next step is to adhere it to the rear window. Peel off the cover of the adhesive but do not mount your camera just yet. Tap "Continue" once this step is complete.
- Now adhere the Rear Camera to the windscreen, checking and adjusting the positioning of the camera using the videos now visible in the app.
- With your iQ now in position, you can tuck the cabling behind the heading of your vehicle, using the tool provided. Tap "Continue" once this step is complete.

Congratulations you have completed the installation of your iQ.
- To get the most from your iQ, we suggest that you create an account.
- Enter your details and create a secure password. Tap "Continue" once this step is complete.
- Once you have gone through the sign-in process and your email is verified, it's time to see exactly what the iQ can do for you.

- Once you have selected your plan, please present your payment details as shown below:
