When this applies
Use this article when you want to download recordings stored on a 380GWX or 380GW Dash Cam to your mobile device.
Before you begin:
Make sure the Dash Cam is powered on.
Make sure your mobile device is connected to the Dash Cam in the Cam Viewer app.
Process / information
Downloading recordings - iPhone (iOS)
Open the Cam Viewer app.
Tap View Dash Cam Videos on the main screen.
Cam Viewer will display a list of the recordings stored on your Dash Cam.
At the bottom of the screen, you will see three options:
Download Files
Protect / Unprotect Files
Delete Files
Tap Download Files. Checkboxes will appear next to the recordings.
Tap each recording you want to download. A tick will appear next to each selected recording.
To deselect a recording, tap it again.
When you have selected all the recordings you want to download, tap Done in the top-right corner.
Cam Viewer will display the progress of your downloads.
To cancel the downloads, tap the progress indicator.
Once the recordings have finished downloading, they will appear under Downloaded Videos, which can be accessed from the main screen.
Downloading recordings - Android
Open the Cam Viewer app.
Tap View Dash Cam Videos on the main screen.
Cam Viewer will display a list of the recordings stored on your Dash Cam.
Tap and hold one of the recordings you want to download. Checkboxes will appear.
Tap each recording you want to download. A tick will appear next to each selected recording.
To deselect a recording, tap it again.
Three options will appear at the top of the screen:
Download Files
Protect / Unprotect Files
Delete Files
Once you have selected the recordings you want, tap Download Videos.
Cam Viewer will display the progress of your downloads.
To stop the download, tap Cancel on the progress indicator.
Once the recordings have finished downloading, they will appear under Downloaded Videos, which can be accessed from the main screen.
What to expect
Once the download is complete, the selected recordings should appear in the Downloaded Videos section of the Cam Viewer app.
The recordings can then be accessed from the Cam Viewer main screen without selecting them directly from the recordings stored on the Dash Cam.
Still need help?
If your recordings are not downloading:
Check that the Dash Cam is still connected in the Cam Viewer app.
Check that your mobile device has not lost its Wi-Fi connection to the Dash Cam.
Close and reopen the Cam Viewer app.
Confirm that the recordings are still stored on the Dash Cam.
