How to Update Your iQ System

To get started, please ensure you are running the latest version of the app (1.24.4). You can find the latest version here.

Note: Depending on your device settings, your app may have already updated automatically.

You can check the app version within the iQ app by pressing the More button (three dots or three lines at the bottom right of the app) and scrolling to the bottom of the page. The app version will display as a blue number as shown below:

Installing the Firmware Update

Once your app is up to date, follow these steps to update your hardware:

  1. Open the iQ app.

  2. Tap the More button (three dots or three lines at the bottom right of the app)

  3. Select iQ Settings.

  4. Tap Firmware Update.

The app will then check for the latest version and prompt you to begin the installation if an update is available.

Extra tips

  • Ensure the iQ is connected to a suitable power supply throughout the update process.

  • If the update does not appear, close and reopen the app, then check again in Firmware Update.

Troubleshooting

  • If the app version is not 1.24.4, update the app first before checking firmware.

  • If the update fails, make sure the iQ is showing as having a stable 4G connection and ensure the camera remains powered on.

  • If the update continues to fail or does not show the spanner icon when going through the update process, format the SD card (back up any important files before doing so) and try the update again.
