How do I update firmware?
Method 1: SD card (PC/Mac) - Most common
Visit your model's support page.
Download latest firmware (.bin file).
Format SD card on computer.
Copy .bin file to the root of the SD card.
Insert SD card into powered-off Dash Cam.
Plug into power, the update will start automatically.
Ensure the camera is connected to a power supply throughout the update.
Method 2: MyNextbase Player (Series 2 only)
Install MyNextbase Player.
Connect Dash Cam to computer via USB cable.
Select Firmware Update on Dash Cam screen.
Click Update Dash Cam in MyNextbase Player.
Method 3: MyNextbase Connect (Series 2 Wi-Fi models only)
Open the MyNextbase Connect App and power on the camera.
Make sure the camera is showing as 'Connected' on the homepage of the app.
Press the Menu button (three lines) at the top left of the homepage.
Press My Dash Cam.
Press Check for updates.
The App will search for any necessary updates and will prompt to update if any newer versions are found.

Extra tips
Back up any needed SD card files before an update.
Keep Keep User Settings ON if you would like to keep customised settings after an update.
Troubleshooting
Update doesn't start (SD card): Reformat SD card using a PC/Laptop, redownload .bin file, ensure Dash Cam powered off when inserting.
"No update available" (MyNextbase Player): Confirm USB directly to Dash Cam (not mount), select Firmware Update screen first.
App update (MyNextbase Connect): Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on the phone and not connected to any other Wi-Fi networks, disable VPN/antivirus.
Dash Cam resets to setup after update: Normal if Keep User Settings OFF, complete setup process.
Stuck mid-update: Do not unplug; wait 10 minutes. If frozen, repeat with fresh SD card/firmware file.
