Wi-Fi password for Series 1 Dash Cams
Series 1 models (300W, 312GW, 380GW, 380GWX, 412GW, 512GW, 612GW, Duo HD, Mirror) use the default password: 12345678
This password appears on the camera screen when in Wi-Fi mode. (300W, 380GW, 380GWX lack screens but still use this password.)
Models with no password needed
Series 2 and newer (322GW, 422GW, 522GW, 622GW, Piqo, 385) automatically generate passwords via the MyNextbase Connect or Nextbase app. No manual password entry required.
Can the Wi-Fi password be changed?
The password can only be changed on the 380GW and 380GWX models, as these cameras can have their Wi-Fi signal left on during normal recordings. All other models cannot have Wi-Fi password changed, for these models there is no need to change the password, as only one connection at a time is permitted and the Dash Cam has to be in Wi-Fi mode which needs to be manually activated.

Troubleshooting
If you are receiving a 'Wrong Password' error, confirm you're using 12345678 exactly (8 digits, no spaces). Restart Wi-Fi mode on camera if the issue persists.
If the cameras Wi-Fi is not visible, ensure the Wi-Fi mode has been manually activated and there are no other Wi-Fi connections that could be interfering. Disable VPNs/Antivirus whilst trying the connection.
If your password works but disconnects, make sure the camera is powered on and in range, remove any other Wi-Fi connections, avoid CarPlay/Android Auto during setup.
Ensure the firmware files are placed in the root directory of the SD card or USB drive, not inside any folders.
If the dash cam does not appear as a drive when connected via USB, try pressing the reset button on the side and reconnecting.
For SD card updates, make sure the card is properly formatted and compatible with the dash cam.
If you experience connectivity issues after resetting the Wi-Fi password, ensure your phone is not connected to the car via Bluetooth, CarPlay, or Android Auto. Also, confirm that the Nextbase app (MyNextbase Connect or CamViewer) has all necessary permissions enabled.
