Follow these steps to set up MyNextbase Connect

You will need to approve app permissions like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Denying these prevents full app functionality.

Steps for the camera

  1. Turn the Dash Cam on.

  2. Tap the red recording icon in the bottom left corner to stop the Dash Cam from recording.

  3. Press the "Settings" icon in the top left corner of the screen.

  4. Select "Connect apps", if you're using a 322GW, select "MyNextbase" and skip the next step.

  5. Select "MyNextbase".

  6. If this is your first time connecting to MyNextbase Connect, tap "Setup Phone", otherwise select "Paired Devices" and press the "X" to remove any paired devices.

  7. Go back to "Setup Phone", then tap "OK ".

  8. Your Dash Cam should now display a "Connecting" screen.

Steps for your phone

  1. Open the MyNextbase Connect app and select the "Dash Cam" button at the bottom of the screen, then tap "Connect Dash Cam".

  2. Wait for your Dash Cam model to appear on the screen, the serial number should match the number on the base of your Dash Cam. Tap to connect.

  3. If you're using an Android phone, skip this step. If you are using an iPhone (or iPad) you will need to wait for your Dash Cam to appear in the "Select An Accessory" window that pops up. This can take up to 2 minutes, when it appears, tap on it.

  4. A Bluetooth pairing request should be shown on your phone, the same code should pop up on your Dash Cam screen. Tap "Pair".

  5. After your Dash Cam and phone have paired, your phone will try to connect via Wi-Fi to check if the firmware is up to date. If you have a VPN connected, disconnect it.

  6. The app will try to connect to your Dash Cam using Wi-Fi, tap "Join"

  7. Wait for the app to confirm the firmware version on the Dash Cam. If the firmware is not up to date, select the option that says "Update Firmware".

  8. When your firmware has been updated or if your firmware is already up to date, select "Continue".

  9. You should now be taken to the Dash Cam file list, this includes all of the Dash Cam videos on the SD card. The files with a padlock next to them are the files that have been protected from being overwritten.

Extra tips

  • Complete setup parked with Bluetooth/Wi-Fi enabled and no other networks active.

  • Update firmware during first connection—it enables Road Safety Club and fixes bugs.

  • Protect important clips before setup to avoid accidental overwrites.

  • Keep phone close to Dash Cam (within 10 feet) during entire pairing process.

Troubleshooting

  • If Wi-Fi is failing to connect, turn off VPN/antivirus, forget home Wi-Fi, disable Android Auto/CarPlay, ensure Wi-Fi is on.

  • If the device is not appearing on the app, restart Dash Cam, toggle phone Bluetooth off/on, force close/reopen app, remove any previous Bluetooth pairing to your camera in your phone settings

  • Firmware update stuck: Manually update the firmware on PC instead, ensure Dash Cam powered and not recording.

  • "Select An Accessory" timeout (iPhone): Wait full 2 minutes, disable Low Power Mode, retry connection.

  • If you are getting stuck on App hibernation page (Android), press the button for Disable App Hibernation on the app, the setting will be called 'Manage App if Unused' on most Android devices and will need to be toggled off to continue
