What is Home Wi‑Fi Connect?
Home Wi‑Fi Connect allows your iQ to join a Wi‑Fi network without using your phone’s hotspot.
It gives you faster, more reliable connectivity so you can download high‑quality videos quickly and use internet‑based features smoothly.
How Home Wi‑Fi Connect works
You can save up to 10 Wi‑Fi networks on your iQ.
When your iQ is in range of a saved home Wi‑Fi network, it will automatically connect to it, even if the signal is not the strongest.
The home Wi‑Fi connection is not adaptive; your iQ will not choose the strongest Wi‑Fi signal, it will connect to the saved network as set.
When your iQ is out of Wi‑Fi range, it will automatically switch to 4G (if enabled and available) for internet‑based features.
How to set up Home Wi‑Fi Connect
Open the iQ app on your phone.
Tap the More tab in the bottom‑right corner.
Select iQ Settings.
In the General Settings section, tap Home Wi‑Fi Connect.
Tap Connect to Wi‑Fi.
Your iQ will search for available Wi‑Fi networks and show a list.
Tap the name of the Wi‑Fi network you want to use.
Enter the Wi‑Fi password and tap Join.
Once connected, your iQ will show the network under Saved networks and will reconnect automatically whenever it is in range.
Troubleshooting
If your iQ does not connect to your home Wi‑Fi:
Check that your home Wi‑Fi is working on another device, such as your phone.
Make sure you entered the correct Wi‑Fi password.
If possible move your vehicle closer to your Wi‑Fi router, then try connecting again.
Remove the saved network in the app and add it again.
