How Do I Reset My Piqo Dash Cam And App Connection?

This article walks you through resetting your Piqo Dash Cam to factory settings and refreshing the app connection.

Before you start


These steps delete all files from the app's Downloads section (SD card files stay safe). Back up needed files first. Keep Dash Cam plugged into mains power.


Steps for Dash Cam

  1. Make sure your camera is plugged into a power supply.

  2. Press and hold the button on the Piqo for 10 seconds.

  3. The device will reset to default settings. The LED ring will briefly flash yellow, then return to red.


Steps for phone

  1. Open your phone’s Settings and go to Connections → Bluetooth

    Tip: (On some Android phones, go straight to Bluetooth).

  2. Find your Nextbase Dash Cam in the paired devices list.

  3. Press and hold it, then select Unpair device.

  4. Uninstall the Nextbase App.

  5. Restart your phone.

  6. Reinstall the Nextbase App from the Play Store or App Store.

After reset

Your Dash Cam is now restored to factory settings.
Follow the first-time setup process again, making sure to allow all permissions requested by the app.

Extra tips

  • Charge Piqo fully before reset for stable operation.

  • Back up Protected files from SD card to phone first.

  • Test connection immediately after reinstalling app.

Troubleshooting

  • Piqo won't reset: Hold button longer (15 seconds) with full power.

  • App won't pair after reset: Forget Bluetooth again, restart both devices.

  • Permissions blocked: Check phone settings > Nextbase App > Permissions.
