How to use voice commands
Start with the prompt: “Hey Dash Cam”, this will prompt the camera to listen for commands.
Immediately follow with one of the supported commands listed below.
Speak clearly and keep your voice at a normal level for the best results.
What voice commands can I use?
Protect: "Hey Dash Cam, Protect" – Protects current recording from overwriting.
Witness Mode On: "Hey Dash Cam, Witness mode" – Starts Witness Mode session, protects footage.
Witness Mode Off: "Hey Dash Cam, Stop witness mode" – Ends session, keeps footage protected.
Privacy Mode On: "Hey Dash Cam, Privacy mode" – Stops audio recording.
Privacy Mode Off: "Hey Dash Cam, Stop privacy mode" – Resumes audio recording.
What about language support?
Voice commands default to English if your language is unsupported. App language and voice announcements remain in your selected app language.

Check voice control is enabled in Dash Cam settings before driving.
Use in quiet environments first before testing in traffic noise.
Troubleshooting
Command not recognised: Speak exact phrases clearly. Confirm microphone is not muted and voice control enabled.
No response to "Hey Dash Cam": Restart Dash Cam and check firmware is updated.
Commands work inconsistently: Reduce background noise or speak louder.
