How to use voice control on your Gen 2 Dash Cam
Your Gen 2 Dash Cam supports hands‑free voice control through the wake phrase “Hey Dashcam”. This lets you manage key features without taking your hands off the steering wheel or your eyes off the road.
How to use voice commands
Start with the prompt: “Hey Dashcam”, this will prompt the camera to listen for commands.
Immediately follow with one of the supported commands listed below.
Speak clearly and keep your voice at a normal level for the best results.
What voice commands can I use?
Protect a file: "Hey Dashcam, Protect" – Locks current recording so it is not overwritten.
Witness Mode On: "Hey Dashcam, Witness mode" – Starts Witness Mode Lite, protects footage for 15 minutes.
Witness Mode Off: "Hey Dashcam, Stop witness mode" – Ends session, keeps footage protected.
Privacy Mode On: "Hey Dashcam, Privacy mode" – Stops audio recording.
