Downloading footage
Connect your Dash Cam to the Nextbase App.
Open the Library tab.
Select the video you want to keep and tap Download.
Choose High or Standard definition.
The file is now saved in Downloads within the app.
Tip: To save a clip to your phone’s gallery, open it in Downloads, then tap Save.
Sharing footage
You can share files directly from the Downloads section.
Open Downloads in the Nextbase App.
Select the file you want to share.
Tap and hold to select multiple files if needed.
Tap Share to.
Choose one of the options below.
Share using a link (MyNextbase Cloud)
Select Copy link.
Enter your email address to receive a shareable link.
(Optional) Add a Password for extra security.
Tap Start upload to send the file to MyNextbase Cloud.
Once the upload is complete, copy the link and share it with others.
Share to other apps
From Share to, choose the app you want to use (for example, email, messaging, or social media).
Follow the on‑screen steps for your chosen app to complete sharing.
Extra tips
Download in High definition for important footage you'll share with insurance or police.
Use cloud links with passwords for sensitive incident footage.
Park close to your Dash Cam (within Wi-Fi range) for faster downloads.
Clear old downloads regularly to free up phone storage space.
Troubleshooting
Download is slow or fails
Move closer to the Dash Cam to improve the Wi‑Fi connection.
Check that your SD card is inserted and working.
Cannot see the file in Downloads
Confirm the download finished successfully.
Refresh the Library or restart the app and try again.
Share link does not open for someone else
Make sure you shared the full link.
If you set a password, confirm you gave them the correct one.
