How to make Road Safety Club reports

Follow these steps to report road hazards using your Nextbase Dash Cam footage:

  1. Open the MyNextbase Connect app.

  2. Connect to your Dash Cam.

  3. Download footage showing the road issue.

  4. Go to the Road Safety Club section.

  5. Select Report on the homepage and upload the video.

Nextbase anonymises footage (removes audio, personal info) and uses only front-facing video, GPS data, and timestamps when sharing with authorities.

Types of road defects you can report

Report any safety issue, including:

  • Potholes and road cracks

  • Damaged signage or road furniture

  • Unsafe road conditions

How is my data used?

Anonymised footage goes to highways agencies and local councils to improve roads. Only road-relevant data is shared after personal information removal. See the app's EULA and Privacy Policy for details.

Note: Only Nextbase Dash Cam video files accepted.

Extra tips

  • Use clear front-facing footage showing the hazard clearly.

  • Report soon after seeing issues while details are fresh.

  • Check app updates regularly for new tracking features.

Troubleshooting

  • If your upload fails, check internet connection and ensure your Dash Cam connected.

  • If no report button is visible, verify Road Safety Club membership active in App Settings, restart app.

  • If you are experiencing anonymisation errors, the app handles this automatically, do not edit footage before upload.
