Create a Nextbase account
Open the Nextbase App on your phone.
To create an account, select Continue with Email and follow the on‑screen steps.
To continue without an account, tap the X icon in the top‑right corner.
Select your Dash Cam model, then press Continue.
Tip: If you are unsure which Dash Cam you have, look at the side of the lens on Gen 2 models. The model name is printed there.
Put your Dash Cam into pairing mode
Pause any recording by selecting the red button in the bottom left of the Dash Cam screen.
Select the settings button (cog) in the top left.
Select Connect app, then press Setup phone and OK.
Start Dash Cam pairing
In the Nextbase App, select your Dash Cam model and tap Continue.
The app will search for your Dash Cam.
When your Dash Cam appears, tap it to select.
Follow the on‑screen prompts and allow all permissions (for example, Bluetooth, Location, Notifications, Local Network / Nearby Devices).
A pairing code will appear on both your phone and Dash Cam screen.
Check the codes match, then select Pair on your phone.
Tip for iPhone / iPad: A box labelled “Select an accessory” will appear (this can take up to 30 seconds). When your Dash Cam appears in the list, tap it to continue pairing.
Confirm you are connected
Once pairing is complete:
The Nextbase App will show your Gen 2 Dash Cam as connected.
You are now ready to use app features such as downloading footage, voice control, and Road Safety Club.
