What can Skins show on my videos?

Skins are overlays that personalise your Dash Cam videos with extra info such as:

  • Speed

  • GPS & map data

  • G-Force

  • Rear camera footage (Rear Camera compatible models only)

  • Longitude & latitude

  • Time & date

  • Social media usernames

Perfect for sharing with friends, family, or online.

How do I apply a Skin?

  1. Connect your Dash Cam to the Nextbase app via Bluetooth.

  2. Open the Library screen and select a video.

  3. In Playback, tap the Skins button in the carousel.

  4. Choose your skin elements (add your social handle too!).

  5. Tap Apply → download starts (if needed).

  6. Keep the app open while it renders (may take longer on older phones).

  7. Once complete, your skinned video will appear in Playback.

Note: Skins only work on high-resolution files.

Extra tips

  • Add your social handle for branded shares.

  • Test on short clips first to check render time.

  • Use Wi-Fi for faster skin downloads.

Troubleshooting

  • If the render fails, try closing other apps and restart phone.

  • If a Skin is unavailable, confirm that a high-res video is selected.
