    Hi Ken, thanks for getting in touch with us about the problem you're experiencing.

    As the 312GW uses Wi-Fi direct it's normal to not have a network connection while connected to the Dash Cam, in essence this just means that you can't access the internet via the Dash Cam, this is normal and nothing to worry about. 

    After you disconnect from the Dash Cam Wi-Fi, I assume this error message goes away? 

    As long as you have latest version of Cam Viewer installed and your Dash Cam firmware is up to date, you shouldn't experience any connection issues.
