    Hi

Thanks for your email. This sounds like the USB drivers on your computer have failed and may need re-installing. It doesn't sound like it's the camera.

Can you please try following for me.

    1. Take the SD Card out of the Dashcam and leave it out
    2. Make sure there is power going to the Dashcam by turning on your car
    3. Locate and press the reset button (usually on the bottom of the Dashcam)

If the Dashcam powers up as normal then you have a faulty SD Card and will need to be replaced.

If the Dashcam does not power on normally then do get back in touch and we will troubleshoot further.

This is something you could try to see if Windows will p ick up the device

This method resolves issues where the currently loaded USB driver has become unstable or corrupt.
Select Start, type Device Manager in the Search box.
Select Device Manager from the returned list.
Select Disk Drives from the list of hardware.
Press and hold (or right-click) the USB external hard drive with the issue, and select Uninstall.
After the hard drive is uninstalled, unplug the USB cable.
Wait for 1 minute and then reconnect the USB cable. The driver should automatically load.
Check for the USB drive in Windows Explorer.

    Note
Connecting your USB external hard drive into a non-powered USB hub can cause a lack of power to operate the external drive. Instead, plug it directly into your computer.

Do let us know if this fixed the issue.

Hi. So after the process of elemination, i bought a new SD card as recommendated. Playback on my desktop pc has returned. Thank you.

Now, since i have viewed my dashcam footage via pc from purchase, there has always been a 4/5 minute delay from when i start my car until when recording kicks in. With the re-installation of my new SD card this has allowed me to revisit my dashcam settings. The current dashcam settings on playback are 3 minutes per clip after the reset. When i view my footage on nextbaseplayer the clip is 30 seconds long. No more. How do i alter this? This problem seems extremely frustating after i checked, double checked and checked again.

    Can you help please? Carl.

    Hi Carl

Thank you for all the information you have provided, I'm sorry to hear you're still having problems.

I would suggest that you open a ticket with our support team for us to go through all the necessary troubleshooting steps to get this issue fixed.

If your camera is failing to record for a few minutes after turning on, this problem is most likely being caused by a problem with the power supply to the camera or the SD card. The camera should turn on and record within seconds of receiving power. Are all of your files 30 second long, or does this issue only affect a small number of recordings?

Please open a ticket with our support team, we'd love to help.
