Getting started with the GW522

  I have a few queries trying to operate this:

 

1. How can I easily access the settings menu? So far I have only been able to do this when I connected the Cam to my laptop
2. I have connected the NextBase Android app and it is showing Loading Live View ,  so it seems to have connected to the 522. However, it is difficult to check progress on the updating the thumbnail library.  The Dash Cam menu is showing some thumbnails of the videos, so I guess I just wait ....
3. Some thumbnails are showing a date of  2018 which is puzzling give I only got the Cam this year!. I guess the date setting is awry somewhere

Any advice is welcome.

  Thanks for all the questions, please find the answers below:

  1. Tap the red recording icon in the bottom left hand corner to stop the camera from recording, you should then see a settings cogwheel in the top left hand corner, tap this to access the menu.
  2. How long does it take for your thumbnails to load? It might take a few minutes to load them all, this is normal.
  3. Are these videos with the incorrect date at the beginning of your journeys? If your Dash Cam battery is low, it can revert back to the default date until the GPS connects later in the journey. We recommend following the steps in this article "How to test your Dash Cam battery" to test your battery.
