How to Connect Your Nextbase Piqo Dash Cam to the Nextbase App

Follow these steps to successfully pair your Piqo Dash Cam with the Nextbase app and access all its features.

Enable Pairing Mode on Piqo
Press and hold the Piqo button for 5 seconds to enter pairing mode. Be careful not to hold it for longer than 10 seconds, as this will reset the Dash Cam to its default settings.
Approve App Permissions
During setup, the app will request access to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi permissions.
Note: Denying permissions will restrict certain features of the app.

Open the Nextbase App and follow the onscreen instructions to get connected.
Wait for Device Detection
- The app will search for available Dash Cams. Ensure the serial number displayed matches the one on your Piqo Dash Cam, then tap to connect.
- For iPhone/iPad users: The Dash Cam will appear in the "Select An Accessory" window, which can take up to 2 minutes. Tap to connect once it appears.
Pair via Bluetooth
- A pairing request will appear on your phone and the Dash Cam screen. Confirm the code and tap "Pair."
- Once paired, the app will display a "Connected" status via Bluetooth.
Optional: Connect to Wi-Fi
- If you need to update firmware or download videos, the app will prompt you to connect to the Dash Cam via Wi-Fi.
- Approve the Wi-Fi connection manually when prompted, as it will not auto-connect.

The Nextbase app updates automatically.
If your Dash Cam firmware is not up to date, the app will notify you on the home screen and guide you through the update process.

If you’re still having Wi-Fi connection issues, follow these steps:

Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on your phone.
If you have a VPN enabled, turn it off.
Disconnect your phone from any other Wi-Fi networks (e.g., home Wi-Fi) and try connecting again.
Disable Automatic Wi-Fi Reconnect, as some phones may attempt to reconnect to familiar networks, causing interference.
