How do you format sd card via a computer

  Thanks for leaving us a message, are you using a Windows computer or Mac?
  
  Generally we recommend formatting the SD card inside the camera, but here are the steps for doing it via a computer instead. 

  Windows:

  1. Place the SD card into the computer.
  2. Locate the SD card in File Explorer
  3. Right Click the SD card and select Format
  4. In the box that appears make sure to take the tick out of Quick Format
  5. Click the Start Button
  6. A warning will appear to make sure you want to format the SD card
  7. Click "OK"
  8. Once this is complete, remove the SD card and place it back in the Dash Cam

  Mac:

  1. Place the SD card into your card reader
  2. Launch Disk Utility. It’s in Utilities folder inside the Applications folder.
  3. Find and select your SD card in the column on the left
  4. Click the Erase tab
  5. Choose the format you want from the pop-up menu
  6. Click Erase
